dc.description.abstract | This essay aims to examine the representation of death in the films of psychopaths as a way of sheding some light on the anthropology of death. Seriality does not only means the way murders appear on screen, but also the structure of the narratives in its relation to ending. In this sense, our narratives seems to become increasingly unable to conclude. Serial films such as Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, among others, through their repetitions and blindspots shed some light on how westerners approach death at the end of the 20th century. | |
