dc.description.abstract	Te detailed analysis of a prodigious episode collected in the Vita Taciti of his Historia Augusta, in which is narrated how an Apollo's statue was removed from its pedestal to a couch without any human intervención (SHA. Tac. XVII 5), allows to hypothesize that the emperor Marcus Claudius Tacitus died of malaria (276 A.D.).
