dc.description.abstract | Toma que toma is a kinestesic activity based on Cognitive Grammar that aims to reinforce the understanding of relative clauses in students learning Spanish as a foreign language. Motion and music encourage the students to embody syntactic structures to conceptualize the relationship between the noun and the subordinate clause as well as the process by which the subordinate clause is integrated into the main clause. In a controlled study, Toma que toma and similar kinesthetic approaches have proven to significantly increase the students understanding and ability to apply relative clauses correctly. Key words: dance, grammar, relative clauses, kinesis, Spanish as a Foreign Language. | es |
