dc.description.abstract	This paper analyzes the contribution of Valencian Vicent Boix Ricarte to the recovery of Valencian people's linguistic awareness. To this end, we study all of his texts written in Catalan, as well as those Spanish texts that deal with linguistic aspects. The analysis reviews Boix's claims about the origin, evolution and unity of the Catalan language, the onomastics problem and the social and literary uses of the Catalan language.
