Resumen: Esta comunicación describe las experiencias pedagógicas de un profesor de artes visuales en países, si bien de dos continentes, con lengua, historia y cultura comunes. En ese recorrido por distintas épocas y diversos ámbitos sociales y educativos, desde escuelas rurales hasta instituciones con alto perfil tecnológico, siempre ha mostrado a sus alumnos cómo establecer vínculos entre la creación de imágenes en múltiples disciplinas artísticas y la búsqueda de la identidad, la comprensión de la realidad y el compromiso social. En España tal labor se ha desarrollado principalmente en la Escuela Superior de Arte y Tecnología de Valencia, donde entronca la técnica del grabado con un currículo volcado en la informática, el diseño y la creación de videojuegos. Palabras clave: arte, educación, patrimonio, grabado, diseño Executive summary: This paper outlines the work of a fine art education professional and the development of his work across different continents but in countries with a shared language, history and culture. His eductional activity in the visual arts has taken place over various decades and in divergent social and educational contexts. His experience ranges from work in rural schools to eductional institutions with a high technological content. As a result he has experienced - along with his students - a multitude of artistic disciplines linking the creation of images to creativity, identity, social commitment and understanding. In Spain he has worked principally in Valencia’s institute of higher education in art and technology (Escuela Superior de Arte y Tecnología de Valencia) where he developed the teaching of fine art print techniques in the context of information technology, design and the creation of video games, also fundamental to educational project of this institution.
