| En este artículo, centraremos toda nuestra atención en las reformulaciones o parodias 'en el sentido hutcheoniano del término' que la dramaturga británica Moira Buffini adscribe a las figuras femeninas que componen el elenco de Welcome to Thebes (2010). Partiremos de los valores clásicos 'sofocleos mayoritariamente' de cada una de ellas, analizaremos en profundidad su nueva caracterización, desvelaremos los transtextos históricos que evoquen y, finalmente, pondremos de relieve la complejidad y riqueza de las mujeres míticas estudiadas.This article aims to focus on the reformulations or parodies 'in the Hutcheonian sense of the term' that British playwright Moira Buffini attributes to the female figures featuring in Welcome to Thebes (2010). To this end, I first go over their classical 'chiefly Sophoclean' meanings; I then proceed to analyse their new characterisation; I reveal the historical transtexts they evoke; and lastly, I bring to the foreground the rich complexity of the analysed mythical women. | |||
