Adorno formulates for the first time the program of the Critical Theory as ¿materialistic
hermeneutics¿. After the ¿hermeneutical turn¿ of philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century,
this paper tries to establish the profiles of Adorno¿s hermeneutics. As a critique of semantic idealism and
of all idealisms, that hermeneutics fixes a new statute for philosophy after Hegel, in a critical dialogue
with the sciences, with Nietzsche¿s ¿genealogy¿, with Freud¿s ¿unconsciousness¿, and with an important restatement
of Marx¿s eleventh thesis on Feuerbach. |
