dc.description.abstract	This article analyzes how an accelerated public opinion formation process took place in Spain, how this was reflected in various areas (the media, social manifestations, opinion polls and election results), and the extent to which it was aided by the development of the new communication technologies which allow greater public access to information, a wider range and variety of sources and the rapid spread of information and opinion amongst a public organized into networks.
