| The main objective of this paper is to show and both claim the role of the Free Institution of Education as the first school in Spain which gave great importance to the Heritage Education. Thus, among the activities that took place we can find excursions to museums and historic sites as natural areas, in an effort to consider what students viewed as a sign of identity. But we also want to make this presentation to the public that the Heritage Education is of great value because of the knowledge of heritage comes an identification with him, which leads to interest in their protection and conservation, on the contrary, it would only be doomed to disappear.El objetivo principal de este trabajo es mostrar y la vez reivindicar el papel de la Institución Libre de Enseñanza como el primer centro educativo en España que otorgaba una importancia fundamental a la Educación Patrimonial. De esta manera, entre las actividades que se llevaban a cabo podemos encontrar tanto excursiones a museos y sitios históricos como a espacios naturales, con el afán de que los alumnos consideraran lo visitado como una seña de identidad propia. Pero con esta presentación también queremos conseguir hacer comprender al público que la Educación Patrimonial es de gran valor porque del conocimiento del patrimonio surge una identificación con él, que conlleva al interés por su protección y conservación, por el contrario, éste sólo estaría condenado desaparecer. | |
