dc.description.abstract	Different works highlight the difficulty of studying the practice of sexting in adolescents. Research on this topic differ in several aspects, among others, the operational definition of sexting, methodology of investigation and dimensions to take into account. These differences contribute to studies on this phenomenon to present notable variations in their results, especially in the prevalence rates of sending and receiving sexts. A methodological aspect that stands out is the absence of relatively similar and appropriate instruments allowing to detect the practice of sexting and its correlates. This difficulty is emphasized when the study sample made up by teenagers. It is clear that the practice of sexting has special connotations related to the privacy of the young, so it is needed a concise and appropriate language, in the same jargon, that the questions are comfortable and allow sincerely replies. Replying to the above is presented this work which aims to propose an instrument to study sexting in adolescents and to describe the process, difficulties and solutions we have obtained in its construction. To do this was taken into account: (a) a systematic literature review, and (b) a search of qualitative information through technical discussion group, with ten adolescents between 13 and 18 years. The systematic review allowed to detect the variation of instruments and approaches used so far, especially the use of surveys. On a complementary basis, discussion group made it possible to adapt to the type of participants, the organization of topics, the way of presenting them, the selection of terms and words more effective (nearby and natural) and the best layout of questions. With this we could minimize any errors or misunderstandings, especially in the varied forms of phraseology and semantic connotations used in previous studies. dc.description.abstract	Diferentes trabajos ponen de manifiesto la dificultad de estudiar la práctica del sexting en la población adolescente. Las investigaciones disponibles sobre el tema divergen en varios aspectos, entre otros, la definición operativa de sexting, la metodología de investigación adecuada y las dimensiones a tener en cuenta. Estas diferencias contribuyen a que los estudios sobre este fenómeno presentan variaciones notables en sus resultados, especialmente en cuanto a las tasas de prevalencia de envío y recepción de sexts. Un aspecto metodológico que destaca es la ausencia de instrumentos relativamente similares y adecuados que permitan detectar la práctica del sexting y sus correlatos. Esta dificultad se enfatiza cuando la muestra de estudio la componen adolescentes. Es evidente que la práctica de sexting tiene connotaciones especiales relacionadas con la intimidad de los jóvenes, por lo que se precisa de un lenguaje conciso y adecuado, en su misma jerga, para que las preguntas sean cómodas y permitan respuestas sinceras. Como réplica de lo anterior se presenta este trabajo cuyo objetivo es proponer un instrumento para estudiar el sexting en adolescentes y describir el proceso, dificultades y soluciones abordadas en su construcción. Para ello se tuvieron en cuenta: (a) una revisión sistemática de estudios previos, y (b) una búsqueda de información cualitativa mediante la técnica de grupo de discusión, con diez adolescentes de entre 13 y 18 años. La revisión sistemática permitió detectar la variación de instrumentos y enfoques empleados hasta el momento, especialmente el uso de encuestas. De forma complementaria, el grupo de discusión hizo posible adaptar al tipo de participantes, la organización de temas, la forma de presentarlos, la selección de los términos y vocablos más eficaces (cercanos y naturales) y la mejor disposición de preguntas. Con ello se consiguió minimizar al máximo posibles errores o malentendidos, especialmente en las variadas formas fraseológicas y connotaciones semánticas empleadas en estudios previos. El instrumento fue empleado con posterioridad en un estudio llevado a cabo en una muestra de 600 estudiantes de secundaria de la Comunidad de Valencia.	es_ES
