The following paper outlines the research carried out in Spain in the area of social research applied to sport by applying indicators of a socio-scientific nature. Thus we analyze the distribution of works per year, sport investigated and language of publication; the distribution of works by authors, gender, institutional affiliation (province, autonomous community and country) and public, private or mixed nature; the rate of collaboration by congress and global (average number of signers per work). Attention was also given to the identification of research groups and their collaborative relationships, as well as the network of institutions and countries through social network analysis. The analysis has revealed that the studies of Gender, Sports Habits, Leisure and Management stands out while there were few works presented on some sports of great tradition in Spain, such as swimming or cycling as well as some key issues related to Health .
