dc.description.abstract | The incorporation of new technologies into teaching is a reality which attemps to be in consonance with the use of other traditional methods rellied in paperbased materials. Augmented reality applications, such as Layar, ensure the perfect mating because they are simple and easy to operate. Their ability to provide access to development-relevant information and services make them extremely important tools in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Through the implementation of the activity «Today you?ll cook», aimed at learners of Spanish with an elementary level, we intended to provide the students a close alignment between theoretical and pragmatic knowledge. With the objective of preparing a classic and also simple recipe of Spanish cuisine, the students will make use of the grammar, vocabulary, functional skills and cultural knowledge they?ve been learning.
