| Addressing someone as tú is used more often in current Spanish and that can make the students of Spanish as a Foreign Language believe that this form of addressing is almost the only one in the oral speech. However, the use of tú and usted are still conditioned by social, cultural and contextual factors. In this paper we offer a set of examples from movies, TV shows, ads, etc. that help us to reflect on the actual use of these forms of address and their educational applications in the class of Spanish as a Foreign Language Keywords: address forms, interactional sociolinguistics, politeness, teaching. | |||
