dc.description.abstract	This statiscal study evaluated the relationship between simple lumbar reontgenogram and the existence of herniated lumbar discs at certain levels. 120 patients with herniated discs surgically verified were studied, taking four parametres from their x-ray films. Conclusions show that sorne characteristics of the lumbar spine as a high illiac crest Iine and a rudimentary rib at T12 level, could become the existence of herniated discs at L4-L5 leve! and to protect L5-S1 level.	es
