dc.description.abstract	Twenty-five from 440 cases of hip arthroplasty were treated ·by rescue operation because of mechanical failures after the first operation. The resurfacing model of arthroplasty" gave the poorest results. In 7 patients (28%) the results were very poor. The complications are analysed and the bibliography is reviewed. The authors hop the new types of cementless prothesis are the best solution for these failures	es
