| In the seventieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights it is of interest to analyze the emergence of a new human right. The human right to drinking water and sanitation was recognized by the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations. However, it has not been included in any binding legal text yet. To ensure its protection it is essential to codify it. The adoption of the 2030 Agenda and the seventieth anniversary of the declaration are a unique framework to include it in the catalogue of human rights. | |||
