| The article analyzes the process of selection and recognition of memories in a specific case: the memory center that is located in the former clandestine detention center during the last dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983), known as ?La Perla? (Córdoba, Argentina). It analyzes the functions assumed by the place: Clandestine Detention Center, military base, memory center, and the values that the State and different groups gave to the place along it history. From that point, it approaches the proposals elaborated to draw a site museum?s script and the museographical exhibits. Then, it goes in deep into the memories, forgetting and silences that frame a proposal that account the recent past. It aims, starting from this case, to contribute to think in largest problems related with these spaces, the memories that they propose and the ways of representation based in materiality. | |||
