| In this text I explore the meaning of the Chilean political moment - regarding the social outbreak of October 2019 - as an event, following the philosopher Alain Badiou and Slavoj Žižek who masterfully present this philosophical concept in many of their works and with full contemporaneity of our reality. Although the concept was already studied by Heidegger and Derrida in the early 20th century. Žižek in his book called: “Event”, explains this concept as: a miraculous journey of being that does not have a precise meaning and that disrupts a reality. For this Slavic author the event is an effect that has exceeded its causes, therefore it has a magical power over the being that experiences it and that goes beyond mere causality, therefore the event has such power that it transforms the life of whoever it is. lives.En este texto exploro el significado del momento político Chileno- a propósito del estallido social de octubre 2019- como un acontecimiento, siguiendo al filósofo Alain Badiou y Slavoj Žižek quienes exponen este concepto filosófico de manera magistral en muchos de sus trabajos y con plena contemporaneidad de nuestra realidad. Aunque el concepto fue estudiado ya por Heidegger y Derrida a principios del S. XX. Žižek en su libro denominado: “Acontecimiento”, explica este concepto como: un viaje milagroso del ser que no tiene un sentido preciso y que trastoca una realidad. Para este autor eslavo el acontecimiento es una efecto que ha excedido sus causas, por lo tanto tiene un poder mágico sobre el ser que lo vivencia y que supera la mera causalidad, por lo tanto el acontecimiento tiene tal poder que transforma la vida de quien lo vive. | |
