dc.description.abstract	This paper analyses the Supreme Court?s ruling of 19 February 2019, which considered that the manifest lack of a relationship between parents and their children of full age can lead to the extinction of the maintenance allowance, if this lack of relationship is mainly and significantly attributable to the children. This is a situation that has been put forward by the parents for years as a reason for depriving the adult child of maintenance at lower levels, but it had never been brought before the Supreme Court, so it was interesting to hear the opinion of our High Court on this matter. The Supreme Court itself acknowledges in this judgment the need to establish case law on the legal problem raised, as it is a very frequent conflict in the current social reality	es
