dc.description.abstract	In the first quarter of the 21st century we find ourselves facing a very dynamic panorama regarding urban mobility derived from technological and environmental changes within the context of global climate change. Cities, and especially the mobility and transport function that takes place in them, are at the crossroads of social, economic and environmental sustainability and the strategic rethinking of their development models. Various international institutions, including the European Commission, have raised the need to implement new models of efficient and respectful urban mobility to guarantee mobility, quality of life, environmental protection for economic prosperity and efficient transport management collective and individual. The city of València is one of the pioneering Spanish capitals in terms of the implementation of cycling routes in its municipal area. After almost four decades since the first sections for the circulation of bicycles were built, after having drawn up regional legislation on sustainable mobility and municipal ordinance where the use of bicycles and the types of lanes on which they circulate is developed, then having drawn up a "Sustainable Mobility Plan of Valencia", after having created the "Municipal Bicycle Agency" in the Sustainable Mobility and Public Space Area of the Valencia City Council and taking into account other changes that are being experienced in the daily mobility of the city it has been considered appropriate to study what the network of cycling routes is like in the municipality of Valencia. The purpose of this project has been to improve knowledge of the offer and characteristics of the cycling infrastructure for daily mobility by bicycle in Valencia; one of the pillars of sustainable urban mobility. The specific objectives set have been to identify and learn about the evolution of the cycling infrastructure of the city of Valencia in order to subsequently classify the different cycling routes according to their typology and comfort. In addition, to study in a comparative way the offer of the network of cycling routes in each district to, finally, show the urban areas where there is a lack of cycling infrastructure. It is considered that the methodology used in the data collection and in the criteria selected for the identification and classification of cycling routes is original and innovative since it has taken into account elements not previously observed such as the type of platform, the type of protection and the perception of safety-comfort. The methodological phases go through: • The bibliographic review of scientific literature and web platforms with relevant information. • Data collection in the office through tools provided by Google and in situ. 5 • Identification of types of bicycle lanes according to the platform (on the sidewalk, on the road ...) and if there is protection (guards, bollards, plant elements ...) of the same. • The creation of classes of cycling routes taking into account the perception of safety-comfort (in relation to the width of the “tread band”, that is, of the space delimited between lines for the circulation of bicycles) • The analysis of the existence of cycling infrastructure in the districts of València, taking into account their length, surface area and the resident population of the districts. • The study of the existence of “deserts” providing roads for the use of bicycles in the districts of València.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	En el primer cuarto del siglo XXI nos encontramos ante un panorama muy dinámico respecto a la movilidad urbana derivado de los cambios tecnológicos y ambientales dentro del contexto del cambio climático global. Las ciudades, y en especial la función de movilidad y transporte que en ellas tiene lugar, se encuentran ante la encrucijada de la sostenibilidad social, económica y ambiental y el replanteamiento estratégico de sus modelos de desarrollo. Diversas instituciones internacionales, entre las que se encuentra la Comisión Europea, han planteado la necesidad de implantar nuevos modelos de movilidad urbana eficiente y respetuosa para garantizar la movilidad, la calidad de vida, la protección ambiental para la prosperidad económica y la gestión eficiente del transporte colectivo e individual. La ciudad de València es una de las capitales españolas pioneras en cuanto a implantación de vías ciclistas en su término municipal. Tras casi cuatro décadas desde que se construyeron los primeros tramos destinados a la circulación de bicicletas, tras haberse elaborado legislación autonómica relativa a la movilidad sostenible y ordenanza municipal donde se desarrolla el uso de las bicicletas y las tipologías de carril por las que circulan, después de haberse elaborado un “Plan de Movilidad Sostenible de València”, posteriormente a haberse creado la “Agencia Municipal de la Bicicleta” en el Área de Movilidad Sostenible y Espacio Público del Ayuntamiento de València y habida cuenta de otros cambios que se están experimentando en la movilidad cotidiana de la ciudad se ha considerado oportuno estudiar cómo es la red de itinerarios ciclistas en el municipio de València. La finalidad de este proyecto ha sido mejorar el conocimiento de la oferta y características de la infraestructura ciclista para la movilidad cotidiana en bicicleta en València; uno de los pilares de la movilidad urbana sostenible. Los objetivos específicos planteados han sido los de identificar y conocer la evolución de la infraestructura ciclista de la ciudad de València para, posteriormente, clasificar las diferentes vías ciclistas en función de su tipología y su confort. Además, estudiar de forma comparada la oferta de la red de itinerarios ciclistas en cada distrito para, finalmente, mostrar las áreas urbanas donde hay carencias de infraestructura ciclista. Se considera que la metodología empleada en la toma de datos y en los criterios seleccionados para la identificación y clasificación de las vías ciclistas es original e innovadora ya que ha atendiendo a elementos no observados previamente como el tipo de plataforma, el tipo de protección y la percepción de seguridad-confort. Las fases metodológicas pasan por: • La revisión bibliográfica de literatura científica y plataformas web con información relevante. • La toma de datos en gabinete a través de herramientas facilitadas por Google e in situ. 5 • La identificación de tipologías de vías ciclistas atendiendo a la plataforma (sobre acera, sobre calzada…) y si hay protección (resguardos, bolardos, elementos vegetales…) de las mismas. • La creación de clases de vías ciclistas atendiendo a la percepción de seguridad-confort (en relación con la amplitud de la “banda de rodadura”, es decir, del espacio delimitado entre líneas para la circulación de las bicicletas) • El análisis de la existencia de infraestructura ciclista en los distritos de València atendiendo a su longitud, a la extensión superficial y a la población residente de los distritos. • El estudio de la existencia de “desiertos” dotacionales de vías para el uso de bicicletas en los distritos de València.	es_ES
