dc.description.abstract	The lectotype of Sideritis tragoriganum Lag. (Labiatae) was designated by Figuerola & al. in 1991 from an illustration published by Lobelius in 1591 and cited in the protologue of Lagasca. However, Rivera et al. in 1991 proposed its replacement by an original specimen preserved in the herbarium of the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid at MA since the Lobelius? illustration does not allow a precise identification with the current use and concept of the name. However, according to the Shenzhen Code, this replacement is ineffective and should be rejected. The illustration from Lobelius (1591) must be treated as the lectotype of S. tragoriganum. On the other hand, in order to avoid any ambiguity in the interpretation of the lectotype, an epitype is selected from a specimen preserved in the herbarium of the Botanic Garden of the Valencian University at VAL, and collected in the locality cited by Lagasca in the protologue ?Tibi? (Alicante province, Spain).	es
