| dc.description.abstract | El diseño se está convirtiendo en el método que aplicar para buscar soluciones a los pequeños y grandes problemas económicos, empresariales, sociales o medioambientales, que un mundo en crisis profunda está provocando. De hecho, su práctica se está expandiendo y en los últimos tiempos han surgido especialidades como el diseño de servicios, el diseño social, el diseño de experiencias o el design thinking. Esta dispersión del diseño hace difícil definirlo y pone en duda de qué hablamos cuando hablamos de diseño. El propósito de este artículo es compartir una definición del diseño basada en tres características de la disciplina que parecen comunes también a estas nuevas especialidades: una actitud creativa; capacidad expresiva y trabajar siempre en la relación entre los objetos y las personas. Tres cualidades que nos caracterizan y, a la vez, nos diferencian de otro tipo de profesionales como ingenieros o artistas.; Design is increasingly becoming the method applied when seeking solutions to both the great and small economic, business, social or environmental problems that are being caused by a world in deep crisis. The fact is that the field of design is expanding, having recently seen the emergence of specialities such as social design, service design and design thinking. This dispersion of the discipline makes it difficult to define and raises the question of what we mean when we talk of design. The purpose of this article is to share a definition of design based on three characteristics of the discipline that also appear to be common to these new specialities: a creative attitude, a capacity for expression, and to always work focused on the relationship between objects and people. These three attributes not only define us but also differentiate us from other types of professionals such as engineers or artists. | es |
