dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo se apoya en tres pilares fundamentales que son el paisaje, la Institución Libre de Enseñanza y la pintura valenciana de paisaje. Con éste lo que pretendemos es por un lado, demostrar que a finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX, en la zona valenciana se produce un desarrollo de la pintura de paisaje debido, en parte, a la llegada de influencias de la ILE, y por otro, mostrar como estas obras reflejan el entendimiento institucionista de la naturaleza. Las nuevas ideas sobre la naturaleza del Romanticismo alemán, llegaron a España y fueron absorbidas por la ILE. Esta nueva visión revalorizaba la montaña, que hasta el momento había sido desconocida y temida. En el Romanticismo no cambia la visión objetiva y científica de la naturaleza, sino la experiencia estética. Esta concepción de la naturaleza se reflejó en diferentes ámbitos: en la filosofía con la Naturphilosophie; en la literatura como muestran las obras de Goethe; en el surgimiento de la Geografía Moderna con Alexander von Humboldt y Carl Ritter; y por supuesto, en la pintura como muy bien reflejan las obras de Friedrich, Wölf, Carus, etc. La Institución Libre de Enseñanza, abrió sus puertas en Madrid en 1876. Fue creada por un grupo de intelectuales cuyo objetivo era renovar la sociedad a través de la educación. Esta institución reelaboró las ideas románticas sobre la naturaleza y el paisaje, dando lugar a nuevas teorías sobre estética y naturaleza que se reflejaron en la pintura de paisaje, especialmente la de montaña, como muestran las obras de Aureliano de Beruete. Estas nuevas ideas promulgadas por la ILE llegaron a Valencia, a través de instituciones e institucionistas establecidos allí, y se reflejaron en la pintura valenciana del momento, en la que comienzan a representarse ciertos lugares de la geografía valenciana. Los artistas influidos por el ideario institucionista seleccionaban para representar lugares cercanos, en definitiva, aquellos paisajes que les pertenecen pero a los que ellos también pertenecen.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	This work is based on three pillars that are the landscape, the Institución Libre de Enseñanza and Valencian landscape painting.
